The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) is collaborating with student leaders within the College of Engineering and Technology at East Carolina University to host our second annual fundraising gala to promote STEM education in Eastern North Carolina. Last year, we partnered with Pitt Pirates Robotics and SWE Next and raised almost $3500 to improve STEM education at local Boys and Girls Clubs in Pitt County.
OUR MISSION
As members of the College of Engineering and Technology, STEM education is very important to us. We are all grateful that we had experiences with STEM before arriving to college and would love to provide this experience to underprivileged communities. We decided to take action by hosting a night of celebration, community, and networking. We invite you to join us for this event!
Our second annual fundraising gala will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2020 at 6:00PM at the East Carolina Heart Institute. Networking will be encouraged throughout the night to introduce our talented engineering and technology majors to professionals in their respective fields. Food, drinks, and entertainment will be provided as well. All proceeds from the event will help promote STEM education across Pitt County by partnering with Pitt Pirates Robotics and SWE Next to promote STEM education at the local Boys and Girls Clubs.
